Bulldog Robotics (Team 55883) is an after-school VEX IQ competition team at Gold Hill Middle School in the Fort Mill School District (Tega Cay, South Carolina). Students collaborate in small teams to design, build, program, and compete small robots to meet the year’s designated challenge.
Students meet with their VEX IQ teams in the morning and after school. Teams are comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The 2019-2020 season was the inaugural season for Bulldog Robotics with a team winning an invitation to compete at the world championship. Bulldog Robotics did not have any teams during the 2020-2021 season due to COVID restrictions but they came back strong for the 2021-2022 season! In 2022, 3 of our teams competed at won invitations to the State and World Championships. 1 of our teams even competed nationally winning the Think Award! Our 2022-2023 season was another success with teams competing at the state, national, and world level again! Two teams won STEM Research awards at the world championship. During our 2023-2024 season, teams competed at the state and national levels, traveling to both Florida and Iowa. |
